What Is Vishing?

Vishing is a form of phishing in which the hacker uses voice calls instead of emails to convince potential victims to provide private information. Compared with other cybersafety threats and attempts at social engineering, the roots of vishing are actually quite old. The idea of using phone calls as a way of scamming unsuspecting individuals has been around for decades.
